SAMPLE SUBMISSION

SUBMISSION FORM

When you would like to set up an experiment with BRIGHTcore, we always request you to fill out our sample submission form.

This form enables us to :

  1. Correctly identify your samples

  2. Perform invoicing according to our pre-agreed quotation and your order number

You can find all details regarding the samples & quantities needed under the 'Sample types' and 'Plan Experiment' chapters of the relevant 'What we do' section.

BEWARE : if samples need to be delivered at a specific concentration, this concentration has to be determined fluorometrically (e.g. Qubit).

LABELLING

IF NOT SPECIFIED under the 'Submit your samples' part of the 'Plan Experiment' chapter for your test of interest, please adhere to the following rules :

  • Seal the plate with an appropriate seal to prevent evaporation

  • Label the seal or the side of the plate with a printed label :

    • Date of submission (needs to match date in submission form)

    • Experiment name

    • Principal investigator

    • Orientation of pipetting (column- or row wise)

  • Label the lids of the tubes with the sample number (needs to match with number in submission form)

  • Label the side of the tube preferentially with a printed label :

    • Sample number

    • Sample name

  • Place the tubes in a preferentially disposable box

    • Date of submission (needs to match date in submission form)

    • Experiment name

    • Principal investigator

SHIP TO

IF NOT SPECIFIED under the 'Submit your samples' part of the 'Plan Experiment' chapter for your test of interest, please adhere to the following rule :

  • When affiliated to VUB/UZ Brussel or if you are an external parter, use the address stated under 'Contact BRIGHTcore VUB'

  • When affiliated to ULB, use the address stated under 'Contact BRIGHTcore ULB'

It is always possible to bring over your samples 'in person'.  For this, follow the guidelines under 'Where to find us' :

SHIP/STORAGE CONDITIONS

Please find below the standard shipment and storage recommendations.

Short term storage is ≤ 3 days. Long term storage is > 3 days

* Microtube can be  a either a cryovial or eppendorf tube (0,5 ; 1,5 or 2 ml). Please consider the quality of the tube used (nuclease free ; free of RNA/DNA ; sterile ; LoBind) according to application needed.
